Dania J. Wright
San Francisco Bay Area, United States
Dania J. Wright is a San Francisco Bay Area-bred artist. With over 20 years experience (both in and outside of the classroom), her areas of focus are illustration, painting, mixed-media, fashion, animation and graphic design. In 2006, Wright graduated from Loyola Marymount University's School of Film & Television with a BA in animation, and Studio Arts minor. She has roughly 9 years professional experience, ranging from graphic design to art instruction. She's previously worked for MTV Networks, the Clorox Company, BET and GAP, Inc. She's also taught visual arts in Oakland & Berkeley Unified School Districts, and San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organizations. In 2007, Wright founded Fluffy Jo, a line of wearable art. What started as a clothing company, has grown into a fine art and creative services studio. Wright is inspired by people, typography, texture and asymmetry. She enjoys putting her own twist on traditional portrait work as well as incorporating found objects into projects.
